Congrats to Mrs. McGlothlin’s class at PES on completing their attendance potato head. They have had 10 days of perfect classroom attendance!


Mrs. Meadows’ class learned all about good manners and being courteous at their Ladies and Gentlemen Valentine’s Day party. The young men escorted each young lady to their seat and pulled it out for them. The young ladies said thank you and then everyone enjoyed some treats while practicing using their manners.











Monday, February 19th is a professional learning day and there will be no school for students.

PES launched One School One Book, today! They are reading The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate. Student met some of the characters at school today including Ivan, George, Julia, and Stella.

Congrats to Mrs. Ludwig’s class at PES. They have completed their Attendance Potato Head, today. Every day a classroom at PES has perfect attendance they add a piece onto their Potato Head. They have to have 10 days of perfect attendance to complete their Potato Head.




PES has been focused on the science of reading and building the foundations of reading for students. Mrs Altice challenged her students to break apart and read some 10th grade level vocabulary words today using stratrgies they have learned from Really Great Reading. They rocked it!






Each classroom at Peterstown Elementary was given a Pirate Potato Head at the beginning of the 2nd nine weeks. Everyday the class has perfect attendance they get to add a piece to their Pirate Potato Head. Once their Potato Head is complete they get a reward! Mrs. Morris’ class completed their’s today! Way to go!



Students at PES who have missed 3 days or less this year got to “shop” The Attendance Book Fair on Friday. They were given some amazing books. #AttendanceMatters
